Updated Halloween 2026 eventVerified on the official Murder Mystery 2 page on Roblox
There are no working Murder Mystery 2 codes as of October 22, 2026. Every MM2 code Nikilis has released is expired, so the Enter Code box in your Inventory has nothing to accept right now. The real freebies sit in the Halloween 2026 event, which runs until November 16: a free Zombie Plush at tier 1 and 13 Halloween Keys spread across the pass.
MM2 (short for Murder Mystery 2) is one of the oldest hits on the platform, and it still works the way it did in 2014: one Murderer, one Sheriff, everyone else running. If you’re still figuring out how Roblox works, start there and come back for the knives.

Do Any MM2 Codes Still Work in October 2026?
No. No MM2 code works in October 2026, and no official Murder Mystery 2 channel lists an active one. The codes you’ll see floating around, like C0RL or SK00L, come from MM2’s early years and stopped working a long time ago.
That’s worth saying plainly, because a few code lists still mark four or five of those old knife codes as “active.” If a list says that, check whether it links to an official source. It won’t, because there isn’t one.
| Code | Reward | Status |
|---|---|---|
| No active codes | None | Nikilis hasn’t posted a new code |
How Do You Redeem Codes in Murder Mystery 2?
You redeem Murder Mystery 2 codes from the Enter Code box inside your Inventory, which you open from the lobby between rounds. When the next code drops, this is the whole process:
- Launch Murder Mystery 2 on Roblox and wait in the lobby.
- Click Inventory on the left side of the screen.
- Find the Enter Code box in the bottom-right corner of the Inventory window.
- Type the code exactly as Nikilis posted it, with the same numbers in place of letters.
- Press Redeem and check your Inventory for the new item.
Common mistake: the Enter Code box being there doesn’t mean codes are live. It’s been sitting in the Inventory for years, and any old code you try in it today just fails. The community also reports that the box doesn’t always show up on PlayStation, so try PC or mobile if you can’t find it on console.
What Free Items Can You Get in MM2 Right Now?
The Halloween 2026 event is the only real source of free MM2 items right now, and it’s live until November 16, 2026. It started on October 18 at 3:00 p.m. ET (noon PT) with a retro lobby inspired by classic MM2, and during the event, Candies drop on the map instead of coins.
| Reward | How you get it | What it costs you |
|---|---|---|
| Zombie Plush | Tier 1 of the Halloween Battle Pass | Free, just open the pass |
| 13 Halloween Keys | Every odd tier from 3 to 27 of the pass | Candies you pick up in rounds |
| Halloween Box items | Open the Halloween Box with a key | One Halloween Key per box |
| Emberbow (Ancient gun) | Tier 30, the last tier of the pass | A full event’s worth of Candies |
| Emberscythe | Put Embersickle (from the box) and Emberbow in The Cauldron in the lobby | Both event weapons |
The event also adds a new map, Haunted House 2, brings back the older Halloween maps, and adds daily quests and a Bingo challenge card. Our full MM2 Halloween 2026 guide breaks down the pass tier by tier.
Pro tip: put your Candies into the pass before you buy any boxes. The pass hands you 13 keys along the way, and each key opens a Halloween Box for free, so the boxes come to you anyway.
Why Doesn’t Murder Mystery 2 Release New Codes?
Nikilis has never explained why MM2 stopped releasing public codes, so nobody outside the team knows for sure. The game’s official description still promises “free knife codes” to players who follow along, but in practice the free items have moved to seasonal events and their battle passes.
A popular theory in the community is that codes were dropped to protect trading values, since a free knife handed to millions of players stops being rare overnight. It makes sense, but it’s a theory, not something the developer has said.
Where Would a New MM2 Code Be Posted?
A new Murder Mystery 2 code would come from Nikilis first, so these are the only places worth trusting:
- The game description on the official Murder Mystery 2 page, where the developer already promises free knife codes to followers.
- Nikilis’s Roblox profile, which the game description points to for links to the developer’s official social pages: Nikilis on Roblox.
- The official event listing for MM2 Halloween 2026 on Roblox, in case a code ever ships with an event.
If a code shows up in any of them, it goes straight into the table above. Other games are far more generous right now; our Roblox codes hub tracks the ones with working codes, and the Roblox promo codes page covers free avatar items you can claim outside any game.
Heads up: “free godly codes,” code generators and sites that ask for your Roblox login are scams. MM2 has a big trading scene, which makes it a magnet for them. A real code never asks for your password, and buying MM2 knives for real money outside Roblox breaks Roblox’s rules and can get your account banned.
Every Expired MM2 Code
Murder Mystery 2 has 17 expired codes that the community tracks, almost all of them for knives, plus one Halloween pet. None of them can be redeemed anymore. A few lists spell some of them differently (B4CK2SK00L for SK00L, for example), but the rewards are the same.

Murder Mystery 2 Codes FAQ
Are there MM2 codes for Halloween 2026?
No. Nikilis hasn’t announced any code for the Halloween 2026 event. The free rewards come from the Halloween Battle Pass and the keys it gives you.
Can you get a free godly in MM2?
Yes, but not from a code. This Halloween, the godly Embersickle drops from the Halloween Box, and the 13 free keys from the pass give you 13 chances to open it without spending Robux.
Do Epic’s Murder Mystery 2 codes work in MM2?
No. Epic’s Murder Mystery is a separate Roblox game from a different developer, so its codes only work in that game, not in Nikilis’s Murder Mystery 2.
Who made Murder Mystery 2?
Nikilis, a verified Roblox creator, made Murder Mystery 2 and released it in January 2014. It has passed 31 billion visits and is still one of the most played games on Roblox, especially during its Halloween and Christmas events.
