Dress To Impress Halloween 2026 Guide: Candy Corn, Minigames and the Dark King Quest

Updated Dark King quest liveVerified on the official Dress To Impress page on Roblox

The Dress To Impress Halloween 2026 event runs until November 7 at 8 a.m. PT (11 a.m. ET) and gives you two separate things to grind: Candy Corn, which buys the limited Halloween items, and Baddie Pass XP, which climbs the new 40-tier pass. Tarot Cards is the most reliable Candy Corn farm at up to 640 per board, and the Tales of the Dark King quest went live on October 24. New to the platform? The Ultimate Roblox Guide covers the basics.

This page is only about the Halloween season: what each activity pays, how to clear the pass and how to plan around two different end dates. Ranks, VIP, codes and how a normal round works live in our Dress To Impress guide. The season is pulling people in: on October 24 at 8:19 a.m. PT, right after the Dark King quest opened, 317,775 people were playing Dress To Impress.

What Are You Actually Earning During DTI Halloween?

You’re earning two currencies that don’t touch each other. Candy Corn only buys items in the Halloween shop, and Baddie Pass XP only moves you up the pass. Spending a pile of Candy Corn won’t unlock a single tier, and grinding tiers won’t fill your Candy Corn wallet on its own, so it pays to know which one you’re chasing before you sit down to farm.

TrackHow you earn itWhat it gets you
Candy CornRegular runway rounds, daily tasks, the four minigames and some Baddie Pass tiersLimited Halloween clothing sets, walk packs and pose packs in the shop
Baddie Pass XPRegular runway rounds plus daily and weekly questsThe 40 tiers of the Halloween Collection: clothes, faces, cash, stars and more

Notice the one source that appears in both rows: normal runway rounds. That’s the quiet secret of this event. If you’d be playing Dress To Impress anyway, every round you finish pushes both tracks at once, while a minigame only fills the Candy Corn side.

Which Halloween Minigame Pays the Most Candy Corn?

Tarot Cards pays the most Candy Corn you can count on: 80 for every matched pair and 640 for a full board, with no cooldown between games. Ghost Hunting can reach a similar total but depends on how many ghosts you catch, while Apple Bobbing and Trick or Treat are smaller side income.

ActivityWhere to find itCandy CornBest for
Tarot Cards (new)The four tents in Halloween Town, in Freeplay80 per pair, 640 for all 8 pairsSteady farming you control
Ghost Hunting (new)The teleport menu; it loads its own serverPaid per ghost caught; the community reports up to about 640 a gameA change of pace, better with other players around
Apple Bobbing (back)The park just outside the dressing room in FreeplayAbout 400 per win, per the community, plus a random prizeLow-effort breaks
Trick or Treat (back)The street of houses to the right of the parkRandom: a payout, a runway effect, nothing or a jumpscareQuick knocks while you’re passing by
Runway roundsAny regular serverVaries with your placementEarning Candy Corn and pass XP together

Verdict: farm Tarot Cards, play rounds for everything else. When you want pure Candy Corn, Tarot Cards is the only activity where the payout depends on you and not on votes or luck. When you also need pass tiers, a regular round does more for you than any minigame.

How Do You Clear a Full Tarot Cards Board?

You clear Tarot Cards by matching all 8 pairs in a 16-card spread before you run out of misses. The cards flash face-up for a moment, then shuffle, so memorizing that first look doesn’t help. What helps is a system.

  1. Join a Freeplay server and walk out into Halloween Town.
  2. Find the cluster of four tents with cauldrons, crystal balls and floating books.
  3. Step inside any tent and interact with the table at the back to start a board.
  4. Flip cards in a fixed order, row by row from one corner.
  5. Match every pair you’ve already seen before turning over a new card.

The board uses major arcana cards like The Magician, The Lovers, The Empress and Strength, and the community counts 12 misses per game at launch. Your Candy Corn is paid per pair, so a board where you run out of misses still pays for the pairs you found. Nothing is lost by trying again right away.

Pro tip: a mismatch isn’t a wasted turn, it’s information. Say each card’s name in your head as it flips (“Strength, top left”) and you’ll remember far more of the board than if you click around at random.

How Does Ghost Hunting Work in Dress To Impress?

Ghost Hunting sends you into a haunted version of the dressing room with a ghost-catching device called the Ghost-O-Matic. You stun a ghost with its light until it weakens, then vacuum it up for Candy Corn. It’s the only Halloween activity that runs in a server of its own instead of in Freeplay.

  1. Open the teleport menu and choose Ghost Hunting.
  2. Grab the Ghost-O-Matic from the desk when you spawn.
  3. Face a ghost with your avatar and shock it with the light, keeping it in the beam as it moves.
  4. Keep going until the ghost can be vacuumed, then hold the vacuum on it until the catch completes.
  5. Recharge the device between ghosts, and leave through the same teleport area when you’re done.

Common mistake: stopping after a few shocks and wondering why no Candy Corn showed up. You’re only paid for a finished catch. The other trap is letting the device’s meters run out right as a big ghost becomes catchable, so recharge before you go after the large ones.

On phones and tablets, turning the camera doesn’t turn your character, and the light follows your character. If the beam keeps missing a ghost that’s right in front of you, walk around it until your avatar is facing it. And if Ghost Hunting is missing from the teleport menu, rejoining a fresh server usually fixes it.

Are Apple Bobbing and Trick or Treat Worth Playing?

Yes, as a side activity. Both came back from Halloween 2025 without last year’s cooldowns, which is what makes them worth a few minutes now, but neither beats Tarot Cards for steady Candy Corn.

Apple Bobbing sits in the pumpkin park right outside the dressing room. You use a ticket from Luna’s Ticket Shop, then hold the apple icon inside the purple bar until the meter hits 100%. A win pays Candy Corn plus a random prize, and the community lists stars, cash, a Halloween runway effect or the Ghost Dress among them.

Trick or Treat happens on the street of houses to the right of the park. Ring or knock at the doors you can interact with and the screen fades out: you get Candy Corn, a runway effect, nothing at all or a jumpscare. It’s a gamble, so treat it as something to do on your way to the tents, not a farm.

How Do You Finish the Halloween Baddie Pass?

You finish the Halloween Collection Baddie Pass by earning XP from regular runway rounds and from the daily and weekly quests. It has 40 tiers this time, ten more than a usual Baddie Pass, so the event’s three weeks go faster than they look. Clear your daily quests every time you log in and the pass mostly takes care of itself.

  • Rewards: pass-exclusive clothing, faces and cosmetics, plus cash and stars, and some tiers pay out Candy Corn too.
  • VIP: the pass screen shows extra rewards that only VIP players get. You don’t need VIP to finish the free track.
  • Tier skips: you can buy skips with Robux from the pass screen. Nothing in the event requires them.
  • The second pass: once you finish all 40 tiers, an Open 2nd Pass button unlocks last year’s regular Halloween pass.

That returning 2025 pass is your second chance at items like the Torn Wings, the Sheep Plushie, the Rag Skirt and Rag Corset, the Monster Corset, the Stained Emo Top, the Ruffle Dress and the Vampire Heart Dress. There’s no new Diamond Pass this year. Instead, the 2025 Diamond Pass is back as a separate Robux purchase with the Monster Hands and Monster Heels, Mummy Bandaids, the Steampunk top, skirt and mask, Baddie Boots and the Corset Dress. Finishing the free pass doesn’t unlock any of those Diamond items.

Common mistake: leaving the pass for the last weekend. Tier 40 is the gate to the 2025 pass, so a late start can cost you both collections when the event closes on November 7.

What Can You Buy With Candy Corn?

Candy Corn buys the limited Halloween pieces in the shop: new sets such as the Star Witch and Lunar Werewolf looks, returning Halloween items, and walk and pose packs. Full sets cost many times what a single minigame pays, so open the shop first, pick the one set you want most and farm toward that number instead of buying small pieces as you go.

Not every new Halloween item costs Candy Corn, either. The update also added free pieces on the regular racks, new VIP items, a weekly boutique that rotates its stock and a paid Spooktacular Skin Details pass for extra skin options. Check where an item actually lives before you spend anything on it.

What Is Tales of the Dark King?

Tales of the Dark King is the main Halloween 2026 quest: three chapters set in the Greek underworld, where you start at the river and dig into a lost past and the curse that grew out of it. It went live on October 24 at 8:05 a.m. PT (11:05 a.m. ET) and stays until November 13 at 8 p.m. PT (11 p.m. ET), according to its official event listing on Roblox.

It’s the third Halloween quest in Dress To Impress, and the first that isn’t built around Lana. The team revealed it at RDC 2026 on September 11, and it didn’t ship with the October 17 update, which is why it arrived a week into the season. Lana still gets a smaller quest this Halloween, and last year’s Halloween quest is back as well, so there are three stories to play in total.

The quest only opened on October 24, so its chapter steps and rewards aren’t confirmed by more than one source yet. We’ll add the chapter-by-chapter walkthrough here once they are. Until then, the planning point is simple: the quest stays open almost a week after the rest of the Halloween event closes.

What Should You Finish Before Each Deadline?

Finish the Baddie Pass and spend your Candy Corn before November 7, then use the extra days for the Dark King quest. Here’s how the season lines up:

  1. October 17: the Halloween update went live with the pass, the shop and all four minigames.
  2. October 24, 8:05 a.m. PT: Tales of the Dark King went live. Keep farming Candy Corn and pass XP between chapters.
  3. First week of November: aim to be at tier 40 and through the 2025 pass, with your shop target bought.
  4. November 7, 8 a.m. PT (11 a.m. ET): the Halloween event ends, and with it the Halloween pass, minigames and shop.
  5. November 13, 8 p.m. PT (11 p.m. ET): Tales of the Dark King closes.

Heads up: Candy Corn only comes from playing or from the shop inside Dress To Impress. Any site or video offering free Candy Corn, a free Baddie Pass or “unlocked” Diamond items in exchange for your login is a scam, so never share your password or a login code.

Dress To Impress Halloween FAQ

Do you need VIP for the Halloween event?

No. Every minigame, the free Baddie Pass track and the Dark King quest are open to everyone. VIP only adds its own extra pass rewards and VIP clothing.

Do Dress To Impress codes give Candy Corn?

No. Codes unlock clothing and accessories through the regular Codes menu and don’t add Candy Corn or pass XP. Our Dress To Impress codes page has the current list.

Do the Halloween minigames have a cooldown?

No. Apple Bobbing and Trick or Treat had cooldowns in 2025, but this year all four minigames can be replayed right away.

Is there a new Diamond Pass in 2026?

No. The 2025 Diamond Pass returned as a Robux purchase instead, and its items aren’t part of the free Halloween Collection pass.

Is Tales of the Dark King part of the Halloween event?

It’s part of the Halloween season, but Roblox lists it as its own event with its own dates. That’s why it ends on November 13, six days after the Halloween event.
