How Does Fishing Work in Fisch?
You hold to cast, wait for a bite, then keep a white bar on top of a moving fish icon until the progress meter fills. Shaking the rod speeds up the bite. Miss the fish for a moment and you don’t lose it right away; the game gives you some slack, so new players shouldn’t panic on the first few reels.
What makes one rod better than another is five stats. Most guides list them; here’s what each one actually changes when you’re holding the line:

Pro tip: before you spend on a rod, check its Max Kg first. A rod with great Luck and a low weight cap will hook rare fish it can’t pull in.
Which Rod Should You Get Next in Fisch?
Get the Carbon Rod for 2,000 C$ as soon as you can, then trade a Pufferfish for the Magma Rod. After that, every big step is about weight: each rod below exists in this list because it raises the ceiling on what you can land, until the weight cap disappears completely.

You’ll notice this ladder skips dozens of rods. That’s on purpose. The community wiki lists more than 200 rods, but plenty are limited, retired or simply sideways moves. Event rods, like the six in FischFright 3, are worth grabbing while they’re around, but you don’t need them to progress.
Two things to know before the Magma Rod quest: the Shipwright on the Moosewood beach sells your first boat, and you need one to reach Roslit Bay. Pufferfish bite near the Roslit lighthouse, and Seaweed is the bait players recommend for them.
Is the Second Sea Still in Fisch?
No. The Second Sea was removed in version 1.47.0, during the Continental Drift event, after a large share of the community voted against it. A few of its spots, including Carrot Garden, Oscar’s Locker and Treasure Island, moved to the main map, and the Bestiary was merged into one.
Common mistake: following an old guide that tells you to hit level 250, beat Cthulhu and talk to the Sea Traveler to unlock a new sea. That route is gone. If a Fisch guide still mentions Waveborne as a starting island or a separate Second Sea currency, it’s out of date, and its rod advice probably is too.
Why it happened matters for how you play now. The Second Sea started you over with a new currency and weakened your old rods there, so months of progress felt wasted. Removing it put all progression back on one map, which is why every rod on the path above lives in the same world as Moosewood.
Does Fisch Have Codes Right Now?
Yes. Three codes worked when we tested them in-game on October 22, 2026: ThanksFor5B, FischFright2026 and SCARLET. Between them you get 726 Treats, 7,026 C$, bobbers, bait and a Nate’s Blade skin. Open Menu at the top of the screen, pick Codes, and type them exactly, since they’re case-sensitive.

What Is FischFright 3 and When Does It End?
FischFright 3 is Fisch’s 2026 Halloween event. It started October 17 at 16:00 UTC and, according to the official event listing on Roblox, ends November 9, 2026 at 17:00 UTC (9 a.m. PT / noon ET). Plenty of event guides still say no end date was announced; the Roblox listing has one.
The event lives on Caustic Hallow, a haunted island you reach from the ghost ship docked at Moosewood. Everything runs on Treats, the event currency. You earn them by trick-or-treating at 16 houses with the Candy Bucket, fishing the Frightful Pools, doing quests for the island’s NPCs and selling event catches. The limited pool has 44 fish and six rods, plus the Witch Kitty companion for 10 Treats.

How Often Does Fisch Update?
Roughly every two weeks, always on a Saturday at 16:00 UTC (9 a.m. PT / noon ET). That’s the start time on every update Fisch has listed on Roblox since June 2026, from Drylands on July 4 through The Deep, Skycrest, Mariana’s Awakening and the 2nd Anniversary on October 3.
Most updates come as short “weekend events” on the Roblox page, two or three days long, while the content they add stays in the game. Big seasonal events are the exception: Fischfest ran all summer, from June 20 to September 12, and FischFright 3 runs a little over three weeks. If the two-week rhythm holds, the next drop would be Saturday, October 31, but the developers haven’t announced anything yet. Is Fisch Worth Playing in 2026?
Verdict: yes, if you like a slow, steady grind. Fisch is still one of the 20 most-played games on Roblox, 91% of voters like it, and the removal of the Second Sea made progression make sense again. It isn’t for you if you want fast action; most of your time is spent reeling, selling and saving for the next rod.
The late game is where Fisch slows down: going from a 40,000 C$ rod to a 5,000,000 C$ one is a long climb, and selling mutated fish is where most of that money comes from. Players who enjoy collecting tend to stay for the Bestiary, since finishing it is the only way to the Masterline Rod.
